Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contracted
School Psychologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school
year, based in Jacksonville, NC. This role is assigned through a
therapy staffing agency to a local school district, offering travel
opportunities within the region to support multiple sites. Key
Responsibilities: Facilitate cognitive, social, functional, and
personal development for all students. Identify and assess students
learning, developmental, behavioral, functional, and mental health
needs. Develop interventions and programs based on assessment data
and student environments. Assist in program planning, development,
and evaluation to support student growth. Consult with parents,
teachers, school personnel, and community agencies. Deliver
coordinated psychological services and participate actively in IEP
teams. Uphold ethics, professional standards, and compliance with
relevant laws and policies. Maintain accurate records and adhere to
timelines. Communicate effectively with students, families, and
staff. Participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience: Must hold or be eligible for a North
Carolina educators license as a School Psychologist. Ability to
work in busy school environments and adapt to varying settings.
Capacity to lift up to 15 pounds routinely and 30 pounds
occasionally. Mobility to stand, walk, and reach frequently, and
assist physically during emergencies or therapeutic interventions.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to multiple school
sites. This is a 10-month exempt position, following the North
Carolina School Psychologist Salary Schedule. The role demands
physical stamina and strong communication skills in diverse and
