Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrative Specialist located in Auburn, MI.

Job Summary

Provides general administrative support and office management to Finance Systems leadership and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages Director of Finance Systems calendar. This includes taking appropriate action in the absence of the leader
  • Provide administrative assistant support to leadership team
  • Proficiency in calendar management
  • Travel management, both domestic and international, working with Concur, shuttle, visa management, etc.
  • Oversees the planning and logistics of leadership team meetings and events
  • Interacts with executive leadership and external businesses
  • Manages expense reporting on behalf of the leaders
  • Ability to send communications on behalf of the leader and take notes at various meetings
  • Maintains extreme discretion with confidential Dow and non-Dow personnel information as well as business information
  • Assists in yearly performance management with great confidentiality
  • Maintains Finance Systems and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) team distribution lists
  • Maintains Finance Intelligent Automation website using Microsoft Expressions tool
  • Maintains File Share access using FSM (File Share Manager) for the RPA team
  • Provides support for the work area with ordering supplies (when needed)
  • Works with and is a member of the Diamond Systems Solutions administrative assistant team
  • Facilitating monthly staff meetings & Quarterly Finance Systems organization meetings - requires working with the leadership team to gather the agenda topics, gathering presentation slides from presenters etc.
  • Scheduling various meetings on behalf of the leaders

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • High proficiency in multiple computer programs and various other Dow systems and processes (Dow Intranet, Concur, File Share Manager, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Microsoft Expressions, SharePoint, etc.)
    • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Must be able to handle frequent changes, able to make independent decisions and problem solve
    • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
    • Ability to provide administrative support with professionalism

      Required Qualifications
      • A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
      • A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
      • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

        Preferred Qualifications
        • Associate's degree or higher
