Position Information Req Nbr 28024 Job Title Administrative Support Associate I - ACES/AAES Department/Organization Black Belt Substation Salary Grade 27 Salary Range $20,300 - $33,800 Status Full-Time Job Summary **This position is located in Marion Junction, Alabama** The individual in this position serves as the primary assistant to the Director and other professional staff at the Black Belt Research & Extension Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Perform general office clerical and administrative duties such as answering the phone, faxing/scanning documents, typing correspondence, sorting/distributing mail, and maintaining office supplies; serve as initial receptionist for callers and visitors; assist with financial processes such as vendor vouchers, collection reports, and reimbursements for travel; prepare a variety of reports, documents, and spreadsheets as requested and required; clean/maintain office and auditorium and schedule repairs as needed; and performing other duties as assigned. Outside duties will consist of mowing grass around office and houses located at the center, planting research plots as needed, and assisting in the cattle catchpen with recording data, keeping syringes filled, and other related duties. Minimum Qualifications Entry into the applicant pool requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years of experience in clerical and administrative support services. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. Proficiency with computers and software programs including Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and other similar programs is essential as well as a commitment to an inclusive and diverse environment.
