Job Description Job Description Master Plumber – Field Operations Manager Location: Kent, OH (Serving Northeast Ohio Region) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Master Plumber with strong leadership capabilities to lead and manage a team of 8–10 residential service technicians and installers. This is a hands-on field leadership role that combines advanced plumbing expertise with team supervision, operational oversight, and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate is a licensed Master Plumber with a proven track record in residential service and installation, and experience managing field teams in a fast-paced service environment. Location: Kent, Ohio Candidates must be located within or willing to commute within this service area. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8–10 plumbing technicians and installers Oversee daily field operations, service quality, and job performance Ensure compliance with Ohio plumbing codes and safety standards Support scheduling, dispatch coordination, and workload management Provide hands-on technical guidance when needed Maintain high customer satisfaction through service excellence Coach and develop technicians to improve performance and skill growth Monitor productivity, efficiency, and overall team results Must-Have Qualifications Active Master Plumber license (or equivalent Master-level plumbing certification) Minimum 3 years of experience operating as a Master Plumber 5–15 years total plumbing experience Strong residential plumbing background (service, repair, and installation required) Proven people leadership or supervisory experience Experience managing plumbing technicians, installers, or skilled trades teams Preferred Qualifications Experience managing teams of 8–10 technicians Background in residential service and repair (not solely new construction) Experience in field service operations (dispatching, scheduling, team coordination) Customer-facing service management experience Strong knowledge of local Ohio plumbing codes and regulations Career progression from Journeyman to Master Plumber Experience in performance management and field operations leadership Ideal Candidate Profile Strong candidates will typically have held titles such as: Master Plumber Plumbing Manager Plumbing Supervisor Service Manager Field Supervisor They will demonstrate: A consistent track record of leading plumbing crews Extensive residential service experience Strong operational and customer service mindset Residency in or near the Kent–Akron–Cleveland–Canton corridor Compensation : 80-95k base bonus opportunity based on incentive full benefits and other perks.
