Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 school
in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a qualified Speech-Language
Pathologist (SLP) to fill a contract position for the current
school year (CSY). This role requires a professional who is
passionate about supporting students communication development in
an educational setting. Key Qualifications: Valid Certificate of
Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience
working as a School-Based SLP preferred Strong understanding of
language, speech, and communication disorders in children Ability
to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned
with school goals Effective communication and collaboration skills
with educators, families, and students Location: Birmingham,
Alabama Position based within a K-12 school environment
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language
evaluations for students K-12 Design and implement therapy programs
to address speech, language, and communication delays or disorders
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school
professionals to support student success Maintain accurate and
timely documentation, including progress notes and reports
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and
contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring Provide training
and resources to families to support speech-language goals at home
