Job Description Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Sign Language Interpreter position is available in Alpine, WY. This role supports effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students by providing interpretation services throughout the school setting. The position requires travel between locations as needed. Key Responsibilities: Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff Collaborate with educational teams to support student inclusion and accessibility Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards Assist with administrative duties related to interpreting services Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience interpreting within educational settings preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to travel to multiple school sites as required Understanding of educational terminology and procedures is a plus Location: Alpine, Wyoming with travel to various school sites This position is ideal for an interpreter who is dedicated to fostering equal communication access for students and enjoys working in dynamic educational environments.
