Job Description Job Description Description: SUMMARY OVERVIEW:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of
the products through competent and efficient inspection in support
of manufacturing. This person thoroughly examines material goods
upon receipt, while in production and at shipment approving or
rejecting an item based on its quality and adherence to customer
specifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform first article and
final inspections Read and understand blueprints, routers & work
instructions including GD&T data on machine prints Generate
inspection reports and FAI reports Set-up gages and inspection
plans for floor inspection Use measuring tools (Gauges, Calipers, &
Micrometers to inspect product for dimensional conformance Perform
inspections on components and final assemblies & analyze features
to GD&T requirements Develop and maintains company inspection
reports Oversee gauge calibration system Interact with customers on
questions of non-conformance to ensure a high level of customer
service Comply with internal quality system business policies, and
regulatory requirements Support business goals and objectives Work
with minimal supervision to support manufacturing needs and perform
other duties as assigned Comply with all policies and procedures of
the company. Requirements: ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High
School Diploma or equivalent Five years progressive experience
related to precision CNC manufacturing and inspection Experience in
dimensional inspection & ability to interpret blueprints utilizing
geometric tolerances Understanding of AS9100 requirements Ability
to use computer programs to create inspection reports Must have a
positive attitude towards new concepts and be quality and be cost
conscious Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willing and able to work extended hours, or travel in order to
support manufacturing needs Must be a US Citizen and excellent
communication skills
