Job Description Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Extrusion Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift, working on two different lines. Training will initially take place on the 1st shift for a period of 3-6 months, depending on the candidate's learning pace. This role is labor-intensive and involves heavy lifting. Key responsibilities include installing machine tooling, setting up and adjusting machine settings, performing quality control checks, and handling the extruded wire onto spools. The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, with each spool weighing up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities Install machine tooling and set up the machine for operation. Adjust feeds and speeds on equipment as required. Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Handle and spool extruded wire, ensuring it is palatized promptly. Operate older equipment efficiently, thinking a few steps ahead to ensure smooth operations. Line up wire with machines and manage spools on the buncher line. Operate a forklift as needed. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years experience as a machine operator, with more than just basic operation skills. Proficiency in machine operation, including CNC machines. Ability to adjust machine feeds and speeds. Capability to set up machines and interpret blueprints. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Forklift operation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with wire operations is beneficial. Why Work Here? The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 7 PM to 5 AM. We offer flexibility in shift hours and provide a supportive environment for our employees. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bremen, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
