Director - Vehicle Capabilities & System Integration

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships to advance the company's vehicle capabilities and systems integration efforts in support of domestic and international business development.
• Lead AMG's effort to make HUMVEE the platform of choice as an component to the US Army's latest mobile systems.
• Develop, implement, and execute AM General's strategy for vehicle capabilities improvement and proactively evaluate growth opportunities and new funding opportunities. Maintain, update, and report status of current funding for technology insertion on AMG vehicles and platforms.
• Assess, report, and advise on vehicle capabilities and systems integration efforts performance to AM General business leaders to make determinations on prioritization, resources, and pursuits, and provide recommendations for formulation of action plans and countermeasures.
• Assist in Government Relations initiatives to increase congressional funding for vehicle capabilities and systems integration.
• Identify potential strategic partnerships amongst industry leaders and academia for breakthrough technology development.
• Lead and advise AM General leadership on engagements with the senior US and international government officials and attend trade shows and industry events.
• Coordinate, support, and complement international capture managers and aftermarket program managers for business growth opportunities, showcasing AMG's improved vehicle platforms.
• Capture and translate the "Voice of the Customer" as AMG develops new vehicle capabilities and finds new systems to integrate on family of vehicles to expand and grow product and services offerings.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree (Masters Preferred) with 10 plus years of relevant experience in US military acquisitions, contracting, budgeting, and sustainment. Preferred experience US Government defense budgets, defense contracting.
  • Ability to understand US military requirements, Multi-Domain Operations, and the future battlefield environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing high performance teams in a highly matrixed organization and complex environment
  • Team player- collaborative, able to work in a team of teams and not worry about credit
  • Entrepreneurial operator - a self-starter able to utilize guidance and intent to create opportunities that advance the team and grow revenue.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills -diplomatic in complex environments and able to advance goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence/persuade stakeholders both inside the organization and out.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
