  • Be a seasoned Infection Preventionist, must come with the certification
  • Be certified by CBIC
  • Have a BSN or higher
  • Have Leadership Experience
  • Have 3+ Years of Infection Prevention Experience in Acute Care Hospital setting
  • Have familiarity with regulatory bodies, including Joint Commission

    Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the Infection Prevention Program.
    • Manage the planning, development and implementation of the overall operational objectives, goals and processes.
    • Establish and assure compliance of infection prevention policies and procedures to meet all accreditation and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage recruitment, interview, selection, retention, staff development and performance management processes for the staff of assigned departments.
    • Manage the development of department operating and capital budgets and achievement of financial goals.
      Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:
      • Required Credential(s):
        --- Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board of
        Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or
        job transfer date required.
        --- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:
        • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required.
