Please visit our website at for more information.General Job Description: The Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for providing leadership expertise to ensure all patients are receiving high quality and efficient care by closely monitoring the Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses capacity and knowledge of Rheumatology care.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Establishes and implements goals and objectives for Medical Assistants and LPNs within a specific clinic.• Monitors, tracks and assists patients during office visits.• Abides by clinic policies, procedures and systems and work to improve current points of care. • Manages staff performance and evaluations including supervising, coaching and disciplinary actions for Medical Assistants and LPNs within a specific clinic.• Ensures patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights by observing HIPAA regulations.• Performs certain diagnostic testing such as EKGs, blood glucose monitoring, and other tests as designated. • Addresses issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients, and seek out appropriate leaders to problem solve and process improve. • Serves as a clinical on-site contact for Physicians, administration, and staff.• Ensures Medical Assistants and LPNs adhere to standards of behavior, corporate policies and practices, and patient satisfaction standards. • Maintains safety of patients, family members, staff, and self during all activities. • Oversees compliance, training and maintaining applicable license and certifications of all Medical Assistant and LPN staff members within a specific clinic.• Performs departmental- related clerical duties such as: checking inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, and answer phones as needed • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly • Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.• Vocational or Technical Degree: Medical Assistant or LPN• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CAAHEP or ABHES accredited) and active Medical Assisting or LPN Certification • At least two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience.• At least two (2) years experience working in a Physician practice.• Experience and ability to navigate an EMR.• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor.• Ability to train and evaluate performance of supervised clinical staff. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in a related field• 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting.• Rheumatology experience.
