Wound Care Nurse

Southern Springs Health Care is a 123-bed licensed skilled nursing and rehabilitative facility in the quaint community of Union Springs, Alabama. We are a family-owned facility that is community-focused and conveniently located within easy driving distance of Montgomery, Troy, and the Auburn/Opelika areas.

We are now hiring for a Wound Care Nurse.

Responsible for providing treatment of wounds related to pressure; circulatory related (venous/stasis); injuries; as well as disease related wounds, (i.e., diabetic).

Works with members of the Nursing staff concerning skin assessments and treatments and will participate in the interdisciplinary care planning process.

Provides documentation related to assessments; orders; treatments and progress of wounds being treated.

Assesses and maintains inventory of wound care supplies, equipment, and specialty mattresses.

Provides training to appropriate staff on the appropriate skin care and wound prevention.

Must be a licensed RN or LPN in good standing in the State of Alabama.
