registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Opportunity available for a Registered Nurse with
step-down unit experience, working a contract role in Bessemer, AL.
This position is well-suited for nurses familiar with managing
patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate care,
including those with pneumonia and other common diagnoses in a
step-down setting. Schedule and Hours: 12-hour day shifts 36 hours
per week Every other weekend rotation Float to other units as
needed within skillset Key Responsibilities: Provide skilled
nursing care to patients in a step-down unit setting Monitor
patient status and respond to changes as appropriate Utilize Epic
for accurate and timely charting Collaborate with healthcare team
members to deliver high-quality patient care Adhere to facility
protocols and standards, including use of navy blue scrubs
Qualifications and Experience: Current RN licensure with step-down
unit experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Familiarity
with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Ability to manage nurse-to-patient
ratios of 1:4 Competence in caring for patients with pneumonia and
related respiratory conditions Additional Information: This
contract position offers exposure to a 20-bed unit with
opportunities to float across similar care areas. The facility
utilizes Epic for electronic health records, emphasizing efficient
and accurate documentation practices. Candidates should be
comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining
