seeking an experienced RN for a Night ICU position with a 1:2
patient ratio and advanced critical care skills in a Level II
Trauma Center. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital ICU
environment within a Level II Trauma Center - May be assigned to
General Cardiac, CVICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, or Surgical ICU upon
orientation - Patient population includes cardiac, neuro,
post-surgical, trauma, respiratory failure, sepsis, and critical
care cases - 12-hour night shifts starting at 7:00 pm with a 6-week
schedule cycle - Every other weekend rotation, with the possibility
of back-to-back weekends on rare occasions - Floating required
within similar ICU and medical/surgical units - Uses Cerner EMR,
Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs
monitors - Support staff includes CNA (1:10), phlebotomy, IV/VAT
team, charge nurse, and hospitalist - No on-call requirements -
Daily responsibilities include managing complex ICU patients and
performing advanced life-support procedures - RNs are responsible
for both clinical care and telemetry monitoring - First-time
travelers accepted if all experience and EMR requirements are met -
Orientation includes 24 hours classroom and 24 hours unit training
for new or returning travelers away 1 years - One major and one
minor holiday coverage per policy required - Time off up to 7 days
may be approved, excluding specified blackout dates - Scrub color
is flexible; any color is acceptable - Staff parking available on
campus /n /n Requirements/n - Active AL or compact RN license
required - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required -
Experience with Cerner or Epic EMR required - Certifications
required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS - Advanced critical care skills
including vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titrations,
arterial line, CRRT, IABP, Impella, EKOS, Swan ganz catheter,
FloTrac, chest tubes, and hypothermia protocol - Ability to read
and interpret ICU-level telemetry strips - Past permanent staff
must wait at least 6 months before returning as a traveler - No
local candidates within a 60-mile radius /n Benefits/n - High Pay
