Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position in a Level II Trauma unit serving adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities - Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting - Patient population consists of adults and geriatrics - Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00, with potential for 4x12s - Required to work every other weekend - Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 - Floating to other units required as needed - Possible charge nurse duties as needed - Level II Trauma facility - Common procedures include IV starts, wound care, wound vac usage, and following isolation precautions - Must take a 30-minute lunch break during each shift - All requested time off must be submitted prior to contract confirmation, as no additional RTO will be approved - Candidates may not have other per diem or contract work during this assignment - Locals are considered but must reside outside a 60 mile radius from the facility - Local pay rates differ from traveler rates Requirements - Active AL or Compact RN license - Current BLS certification through AHA - Fit test required prior to start - NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred - Experience in Level II Trauma preferred - Travel nursing experience preferred - Ability to perform IV starts, wound care, and isolation precautions Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-660033.
