Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Main OR
position specializing in neuro/spine surgery, requiring 2 years of
OR experience and an Alabama or compact RN license. Details - Work
in the Main OR of a large 595-bed acute care hospital in
Birmingham, AL - Neuro/spine surgical patient population with 1:1
patient ratio - 24-bed OR unit - Preferred experience with Da Vinci
Robot, Maxillofacial, and Orthopedic procedures - Schedule is
4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM - On-call is required; specific
call schedule varies by team and is discussed during the interview
- No weekend hours required - EMR: Cerner - Floating required
within a 25-mile radius of home campus Requirements - Active AL RN
license or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time
of consideration - Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only;
American Red Cross not accepted) - Minimum 2 years of recent
neuro/spine OR experience required - Candidate's SSN and DOB are
required for consideration - An area-specific skills checklist is
required for consideration Additional Information - Provide
perioperative nursing care to neuro/spine surgical patients - Navy
scrubs required; t-shirts, fleece jackets, hooded garments, and
nail polish are not permitted - Joint Commission-accredited
facility recognized for excellence in surgical care, stroke care,
cardiovascular services, and more - Located in the Homewood area of
Birmingham, near attractions such as the Birmingham Zoo, Birmingham
