Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract
opportunity is available for a School Psychologist or Psychometrist
in Pelham, AL, to support student success within a dynamic school
setting. This role focuses on evaluating and assisting students
with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs,
contributing to individualized educational programming. Key
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations
and screenings based on referrals from teachers and school
administrators. Gather detailed educational, social, and medical
histories of students and administer assessments across various
areas of functioning. Interview students and observe them within
the school environment to gather insights. Compile and document
evaluation data in reports included in official student records.
Carry out legally mandated evaluations and provide written reports
in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary
teams to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). For
Psychometrists: Administer psychological and neuropsychological
tests following established procedures; score tests; collect,
record, and report test data accurately. Monitor test
administration, identify any issues affecting test validity or
completion timelines, and promptly communicate concerns to the
director. Assist with psychometric research by collecting and
analyzing data using standard protocols. Support school personnel
in administering evaluations and assessments to determine student
eligibility and gather necessary information for IEP teams.
Qualifications: Relevant certification or licensure as School
Psychologist or Psychometrist. Experience administering
psychological assessments in an educational setting. Strong
understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and
multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, organizational,
and reporting skills. Location & Hours: Position based in Pelham,
Alabama. Contract role with approximately 30 hours per week. This
