Job Description:
Beacon Children's Hospital of Luverne has a great opportunity
for a full-time Director of Environment of Care (EOC). We are

Luverne and is a psychiatric children’s hospital providing
inpatient programs for children and adolescents. If you are willing

Care's responsibilities include the following: Ensures that all
systems that relate to life and safety/EOC are maintained and
inspected according federal, state and local requirements and that
National Patient Safety Goals are implemented and monitored.
Ensures that toxic and biohazard materials are handled and disposed
of in keeping with Federal and State regulations. Coordinates with
any contractor performing work relating to the supervised
departments. Provides daily maintenance supervision of the hospital
facility including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and coordinate
general maintenance of the building inside and out. Provides
supervision of landscape and lawn services including grass mowing,
weeding, planting and any necessary grounds clean up or repair.
Supervises maintenance of all parking lots for the safety of
patients and staff. Review all maintenance agreements for
appropriateness and cost effectiveness. Ensures that all functions
within Plant Operations, and Housekeeping follow the safety
procedures outlined in the company policies. Administers
evaluations of employees within established time constraints for
Maintenance, and Housekeeping. Maintains operation within budget
guidelines. Performs in-services required by the company and
participate in hospital-wide performance improvement (PI)
activities and in required in-service education. Performs a variety
of tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and
inspections of physical plant equipment, preventative maintenance
and various janitorial duties. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates for Director of Environment of Care should
have the following: Post-secondary degree required. Experience in
general repair, framing, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing and
carpentry. 10 years of management experience is required.
Experience with fire codes and OSHA. Excellent communication.
Scheduling: Full-Time - Work hours are generally Monday through
Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm On-call rotated schedule Our benefits
