Job Classification: Full-Time Regular Die Cast Process EngineerThe Die Cast Process Engineer is responsible for the process design, operation, and implementation. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. Specifically, for new products being launched to production.Responsibilities: * Support the release of HPDC process designs by validating that specifications (HPDC process cycle time) are the same ones that were raised in the project objectives of the plant where the project was generated to ensure that the quality and speed specifications will be met to meet the production volume that was indicated to the customer* Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data * Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes* Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output * Perform process simulations * Manage cost and time constraints * Perform risk assessments * Provide process documentation and operating instructions Education/Experience/Training: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred* Prior experience in process engineering within a Die Cast facility * Strong math and statistical analysis skills * Must be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business environment * Excellent technical skills * Knowledge of process related standards * Experience in process simulations * Working knowledge of process engineering software packages * CAD or AutoCAD skills * Familiarity with health and safety regulations
