POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESStandard I:Recognizes role and operates within an integrated plan of servicesStandard II: Regular job functionsStandard III:Knowledge, judgement, and decision makingStandard IV:Communication, teamwork, and patient/guest/employee relationsStandard V: Leadership, initiative, and resourcefulnessPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONSEssential function: As many as four to six hours per day spent working at computer terminal and/or personal computer.Marginal functions: Usual amount of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and carrying normally found in a health care environment.Environmental factors: May be exposed to communicable diseases, disagreeable odors, dust, fumes, gases, and changes of temperature and humidity. May be exposed to blood borne pathogens.POSITION REQUIREMENTSExperience: Two years general office or hospital administrative experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor'sdegree in business or health care administration preferred.Special qualifications: Ability to operate computer terminal, personal computer, and other office equipment required. Familiarity with medical and fiscal terminology, Microsoft Office Suite, and Raintree Software preferred.Outside relationships: Maintain an excellent working relationship with sources of referrals and their staffs.Interaction with other departments: Maintain an excellent working relationship with HPRC Corporate and with other HPRC Office Managers.Budget: Provides input to the Department Director in preparation of theannual budget, assists the Department Director in operating within the current budget.Assets controlled: Office equipment and supplies, medical records.Employees supervised: Patient Services RepresentativesCareer path: Patient Accounts Representative; Director, Patient Accounts
