The ALFA Eminent Scholar endowment supports:1) Continuing and enhancing an outstanding scholarly research record2) Teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs3) Providing leadership in a specific research area(s) in partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Auburn University, state, national, and international organizations and stakeholders.The chair will help strengthen and enhance the farm and agribusiness management (marketing, production, and finance) program, and/or agriculture policy (farm, domestic ag., trade policies, ag law) program and through leadership, serve as a positive role model for colleagues and students.The ALFA Eminent Scholar Chair is a nine-month, teaching and research appointment with expectations for summer funding.
