How will you make an impact?

The Associate Digital Marketing Manager - Paid Search (SEM) is responsible for planning, launching, maintaining, updating and optimizing paid search/SEM campaigns in support of the global SEM efforts for the Biosciences Division, nested under the Life Sciences Group.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on and enterprise-level expertise in SEM and a firm understanding of other digital channels like SEO, Programmatic Display, Email or Social Media.

The candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, analytical, deadline-driven and constantly looking for new opportunities to improve performance and efficiency, driving automation and solutions at scale. This role will perform data analysis and visualization tasks to promote data-driven decisions.

To be successful in this position, the candidate must be comfortable working in a highly matrix environment in a global organization, collaborating with large teams across multiple marketing departments.

What will you do?

  • Work closely with SEM experts on bringing the global BID SEM strategy to life

  • Drive implementation of customer-centric campaigns and standard optimization and reporting tasks

  • Track KPIs and budgets with established dashboards and pacing files

  • Leverage channel-specific dashboards to gain insight, uncover optimization opportunities and make data-driven decisions

  • Find a better way every day, leverage automation and focus on solutions that scale

  • Work closely with business partners to understand business goals and needs

  • Work with stakeholders to guarantee optimal project outcome

  • Manage workflow and maintain tight deadlines of multiple, simultaneous projects, prioritizing based on performance impact and team focus areas

  • Provide project status updates to the SEM team and business partners to set expectations on timelines, accomplishments, open questions and risks

  • Respond quickly to shifts in the industry, in the regions or on a global level

  • Leverage processes, learnings, best practices, content calendars and documentation and build upon them

  • Share case studies and learnings and contribute new ideas

  • Stay up to date with the digital marketing industry and trends

  • Participate in scrum ceremonies and follow agile principles as part of an agile team, leveraging project management software

How will you get here?


  • Minimum educational requirement is Bachelor's or Associates Degree



  • 3-5 years of experience in B2C or B2B customer-driven digital marketing, advertising, or eCommerce

  • Advanced understanding of SEM using Google Ads, Bing Ads or other paid search engines

  • Advanced experience with bid management platforms (e.g. Adobe Media Optimizer, Kenshoo, Marin, DoubleClick or Search Ads 360)

  • Proven track record of creating, optimizing and reinventing campaigns to constantly improve results

  • Strong Excel skills, ability to manage and update campaigns via bulk upload process

  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, Adobe Analytics)

  • Experience managing multiple strategic clients including ownership and oversight of large budgets


  • Experience with keyword research tools (e.g. Moz, SEMRush, Conductor)

  • Experience with DMP management, including 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data

  • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g. WorkFront, Jira)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to business partners and leadership on a regular basis

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to analyze large and complex sets of data from multiple sources

  • Use data and dashboards to inform our team with keen insights on improving KPIs

  • Strong time management, organizational, planning and prioritization skills

  • Team player with a positive attitude who is prepared to go the extra mile to accomplish business objectives

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience in agile methodology within a marketing organization is a plus
