This position will efficiently and effectively digitize images of parasites, lesions, diseased organs and graphics that are currently housed solely on Kodachrome slides. Some slides are organized and catalogued. All information in addition to the images themselves would need to be transferred to a digital catalogue. This person will work predominantly independently with guidance from the pathologist, parasitologist, and other personnel involved in completion of this project.

Some of the images in the set are of a graphic nature in that they depict animal autopsies

Essential Functions

The student in this position will be digitally scanning archive Kodachrome 22 slides and recording information about the image for evaluation by a faculty member prior to inclusion into a database.

The student must possess excellent organizational skills, good basic computer skills, and have proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

* Currently enrolled Auburn University student
* Basic understanding of scientific nomenclature
* Basic computer skills (organizing digital files)

Preferred Qualifications

A student who has completed courses such as microbiology, parasitology

Pay Rate $10.00/hour Work Hours 20 City position is located in: Auburn State position is located: Alabama
