to life.Position Description:Responsible for
operating/troubleshooting a high-speed automatic filling system on
a gummy production line that includes a 16 head scale system
integrated with a-- rotary bottle filler. Ensures that the product
meets quality and safety guidelines.-- Makes necessary adjustments
to ensure efficiency/quality. --Monitors and maintains the filler
station, scale control, line conveyors, and ensures the efficient
flow of the production process.Responsibilities:Operates equipment
control panel/touch screen (Allen Bradley PLC) system to ensure
efficient equipment operation, makes real time corrections to
process as required.--Possess knowledge of the sanitation and
safety requirements for food processing, handling, and storage in
manufacturing of Gummy products.Performs in-process scale checks to
ensure that predetermined fill weight is accurately transferred.
Performs critical control checks throughout the operation of the
filling system. Communicates production and quality issues to
supervisor.Performs changeovers from one product or batch to
another; disassembles equipment --and cleans according to
procedures; reassembles and makes ready for next batch; works with
tooling/set-ups as needed.--Performs basic troubleshooting of scale
and filler system. Set-up machine for different bottle run based on
size and count.----Performs all required tasks such as picking,
issuing charging yielding in JDE and RF SMART.Performs all duties
in compliance with cGMP s, SOP s and safety procedures.Performs
other related duties as assigned.Minimum
Qualifications:Education:---------- A High School diploma or GED is
requiredCertification:---------- None.Experience:Working knowledge
of filler system manufacturing process. A minimum of one year
experience in related jobs (e.g., gummy, candy or confectionary
manufacturing) is preferred.
--Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Requires:Basic mechanical ability to
use hand tools, take apart and reassemble equipment.Proficient
English ability; fluent speaking, reading and writing skills to
effectively communicate with staff and supervisors, able to read,
understand and teach operating procedures and manufacturing
instructions, and complete production and cleaning logs.Basic
knowledge of the J D Edwards Enterprise One system in order to
assist in the financial close out of work orders.Utilizes
calculator and hand-held computer to perform routine mathematical
calculations and maintain various production and cleaning logs and
proper record keeping.Knowledge of cGMP s, basic safety practices
in an industrial environment, and familiarity with production goals
and setting performance objectives.Physical
Requirements:Intermittently lifts and/or moves loads of up to 50
lbs with the use of pallet jacks and or other mechanical aids.
--Pulls/pushes boxes of product on/off line and/or pallets.
--Stands/walks for full work shift. --Manual dexterity to
manipulate filling and labeling equipment controls, small
production containers on a production line, and hand tools to
assemble/disassemble parts of equipment. --Required to walk up and
down stairs and use ladders.Environment:Constant exposure to noise
levels loud enough to require employees to wear hearing protection.
--Warm temperature levels, fumes, vibration, dust, etc., sufficient
to cause minor discomfort. --Employee must wear protective eye
wear, hair net, uniforms, safety shoes and gloves when handling the
product.Safety:The incumbent must be able to perform this job
safely in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Good
Manufacturing Practices without endangering the health or safety of

represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role,
plus annual incentive.
