Lending Responsibilities & Duties Purpose of Position Loan Officer
I are entry-level lenders responsible for maintaining and/or
generating a loan portfolio including Consumer loans and loan
renewals as assigned by Senior Lender. This position is responsible
for soliciting, negotiating, documenting, underwriting and
coordinating the closing of loans in compliance with the Bank's
lending policies and procedures. Lender positions are based on
productions and evaluated in relation to loan projection goals.
Lenders are to develop and maintain professional relationships with
customers, promote business growth of the bank’s products and

PROJECTION] Duties and Responsibilities Exemplar of superior
customer service with appropriate communication between both
customers and employees. Serve as mentor to other Lender I
employees as requested by Senior Lender. Perform full range of
duties pertaining to Consumer lending functions. Lenders solicit,
negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of major and
complex consumer, residential, equipment, commercial building and
business loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and
procedures. Develops deposit relationships and promotes business
for the bank by maintain good customer relations and referrals for
new bank services. Diligently seek and obtain quality new business
through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross selling
efforts. Accepts applications, assists with interviews of
prospective applicants, requests specified information related to
loan inquiry and assists to resolve questions regarding application
information. Gathers, analyzes, and organizes all information
necessary to present a financial request to Senior Management or
Loan Committee for approval, meets with existing or potential
customers, visits sites of loans, negotiates loan terms and
conditions, approves loans within established lending limits or
refers and recommends acceptance to Senior Lender or Loan
Committee. Coordinates the processing of approved loans, ensures
loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and
comply with lending procedures, obtain sufficient information
and/or documentation from customers, solves problems related to
processing and servicing loans in portfolio, and approves loan
disbursements in accordance with agreement. Ensures that credit
inquiries and UCC filings are researched to determine credit
worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning is achieved.
Approves loan payments, draws form lines of credit, and fund
transfers within specified limits. Negotiates, underwrites and
processes renewals of credit facilities. Participates with Senior
Management in developing, analyzing and finalizing major and
complex loan agreements. Represent the Bank in various Business
Development, Civic, Community Engagement, and Community
Reinvestment (CRA) activities, events or endeavors. Further enhance
the Bank’s image, develop additional business, and assist in
establishing and maintaining market position in the financial
arena. Cross sells the products and services of the Bank.
Qualifications Minimum Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in
a business-related field, (preferably accounting or finance) or
equivalent work experience. Minimum Experience & Skill Requirements
Experience in servicing consumer, commercial and mortgage loan
review with increased responsibilities for profitably in loan
concentration. Strong financial services (preferably Banking)
background and working knowledge of industry, including good
understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, lending
practices and operations processes. Effective communicator both in
written and oral communication. Balanced decision-maker; strategic
thinker; demonstrate understanding and appreciation for all facets
of the business (both business development and operational/staff
functions). Track record of leading and motivating people
particularly achieving loan and deposit growth targets. Ability to
meet deadlines and sales goals. Additional Information Disclosure
