(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Sign
Language Interpreter to support educational settings. This position
involves working within schools and requires flexibility for travel
to multiple locations in the Troy, NY area. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing
students and educators by interpreting spoken language into sign
language and vice versa. Assist in classroom settings, meetings,
and school events to ensure full inclusion and participation for
students needing sign language support. Collaborate with teachers,
staff, and families to provide comprehensive communication access.
Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards pertinent to
interpreting in educational environments. Travel as necessary to
various school sites within the assigned area to provide services.
Required Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in American
Sign Language (ASL) and English, with strong interpreting skills.
Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter in
school settings preferred. Ability to adapt communication styles to
meet diverse student needs. Willingness and ability to travel
between locations. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
