A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing, located in Auburn, NY. This role supports critical patient recovery at a downtown hospitals recovery room and requires demonstrated skills in inpatient PACU and critical care settings. Qualifications: Current New York State RN registration BLS certification with recertification ability Minimum two years recent acute care experience in a comparable hospital setting within the past two years Experience in inpatient PACU and critical care essential Prior exposure to EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Professional licensure and certifications must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions Verification of legal work authorization in the U.S. required Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and criminal background check Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive patient care in the acute care PACU environment with minimal supervision Execute detailed nursing assessments and interventions tailored to critical care and recovery needs Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Schedule/Hrs: Six 12-hour shifts within two weeks (day and night shifts) Every other weekend rotation, no on-call duties This contract offers a unique opportunity for nurses experienced in trauma or large hospital settings who seek a challenging and rewarding clinical environment.
